The 2026-27 titles for the Sunshine State program are here!
The Sunshine State program (SSYRA) introduces Florida students to the newest and best in literature. Fifteen books are selected for 3-5 grade, and fifteen are selected for 6-8 grade. Students can earn tags and other prizes by taking a short quiz on each book they’ve read. If they read at least three of the books they will be able to vote in the state election. Those students will also be eligible to try out for the school’s Battle of the Book team, which competes with other area schools. (Tryouts will be held in November.)
