The 2023-24 titles for the Sunshine State program are here!
The Sunshine State program (SSYRA) introduces Florida students to the newest and best in literature. Fifteen books are selected for 3-5 grade, and fifteen are selected for 6-8 grade. Students who read at least three of the books are able to vote in the state election. They will also be eligible to try out for the school’s Battle of the Book team, which competes with other area schools. (Tryouts will be held in December.) Students can earn tags by taking a short quiz on each book.
There are also 15 books for K-2. Second-graders may read the last five books listed on the SSYRA, Jr. poster below to quiz and receive tags for these books.
