Ms. Harrison is a highly qualified administrator. She has been a Florida certified teacher since 1998. Ms. Harrison holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education with a minor in Spanish. She holds professional certification in Elementary Education grades 1-6, Middle Grades Integrated Curriculum grades 5-9, Educational Leadership (all levels), Principal Certification, and holds the gifted endorsement and ESOL endorsement. Ms. Harrison completed Broward County’s Clinical Educator Training in 1998 and served as a mentor for new educators through the NESS program, as well as mentoring FAU field experience students and student interns. She has served on Leadership Committees throughout her career including the St. Johns County District Advisory Council. Ms. Harrison earned a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership in 2004 from the University of North Florida. In 2009 she completed St. Johns County’s 4 year Leadership Training Program and was granted Principal Certification from the Florida Department of Education. Ms. Harrison served as an assistant principal at Fruit Cove Middle School for five years. During the 2010-2011 school year she was selected as Florida’s Outstanding Assistant Principal for the state. From 2011-2013, Ms. Harrison served as the principal of Alice B. Landrum Middle School.

Mr. Stoddard has a B.S. in Legal Studies from the University of Central Florida and a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from the University of West Florida.  Prior to coming to Patriot Oaks Academy, he began his teaching career outside of Boston, Massachusetts teaching computer technology classes.  In 2009, Mr. Stoddard returned to St. Johns County to teach Social Studies where he taught in the International Baccalaureate program.  In 2011, he became the Academy Coordinator of Nease High School where he oversaw two programs of choice and was instrumental in creating a new program of choice for high school students.  Mr. Stoddard holds professional certification in Social Science 6-12 and Educational Leadership (all levels).

Ms. McCormick has her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Indiana University and her MA in Educational Leadership from UNF.  Additionally, she is reading endorsed.  Ashley has been an educator in St. Johns County for 20 years.  The last two years she has served as the Instructional Literacy Coach at Valley Ridge Academy.  Having opened a K8, Ashley knows first-hand the complexities of running a K8, as well as the importance of processes and hard work!  She has served on the MTSS team, as a SAC chair, as model classroom teacher, and as a Lighthouse Team Chair for Leader In Me.

Mrs. Carlson-Bright has her BA in Elementary Education and her MA in Educational Leadership and another MA in Social Work.  She is certified in Educational Leadership, School Social Work and in Licensed Clinical Social Work.  She is also endorsed in Gifted and ESOL.  Mrs. Carlson-Bright has also taught 6th grade Language Arts as well as 3rd grade inclusion, general education and gifted and 1st grade general education as well as serving as a school social worker with the Department of Safe Schools in Palm Beach County.  Mrs. Carlson-Bright brings a wealth of knowledge from many disciplines that will cohesively enhance our own team.
